Great basketball courts. 4 good tennis courts that have lights for night play. There are 2 restrooms, a few picnic areas. Mostly feels pretty safe.

The Hardest Tubman Park Has always been , in my humble opinion.. In some direct, or indirect way. Is a place where most individuals. Low income . Especially in the age bracket of 40+. I have heard numerous stories Having recalled. A great portion of their summers. As a young child , spending most of your day , with so many other kids. Just being kids. The kids always had adult./ pre-adult supervision. If you are from Austin Homes, in the 50+ age bracket. Mostly everyone would testify. That the Austin Homes Recreational Supervisor , was all the kids. Granny,/ Mother/ and more. The iconic/ legendary. I wanna give a shout out to, RIP to Ms. Doohickey!!!ππΏππΏ The good old days. I must admit, and give β!some credit. Where credit is due. The city of Knoxville .Did allocate, part of the Parks and Recreation, fiscal budget. A mind blowing, modernizing over haul. The kids now have a safe park. To practice/ or participate in 3 totally different sports in one park. The kids now , no longer have to go the ββStripβ, or further. Just so the kids could go to a decent, and safe park.

Tennis courts have bunch of cracks and dead spots but hey its free and has lights and they dont really bother you playing late. If u can get past the people living/smoking Crack under the pavilions and not being able to pee bc someone is passed out in the bathrooms then this is the place for you!! Regardless of this i still play here 3x a week but its not for everyone..

The park was wonderful, well kept. In exception to a couple of people loitering and smoking marijuana, the park itself is a great place to hang out and have family time. Also a great place to play tennis and play some basketball. The basketball court is in great condition as are the tennis courts.
